    for q 18 see the atomic radius and ionic radius graphs from any book for period 3, u shud memorise it for q 20 the products formed are CH3COONa and C3H7OH , find there molecular mass, and then percentage by mass for 7 i did 2+x=2+x/2 (but this may not b right way, anywyz i got my ans correct)

    for Q9 let X2=A Y2=B X2y=C C^2/(A^2)*B=2 C^2=2*(A^2)*B SQUARE ROOT BOTH SIDES WE GET C=(2^0.5)*A*(B^0.5) anything raised to 0.5 means it is square rooted ok now for equation 2 we have A*(B^0.5)/C PUT IN VALUE OF C WE GET A*(B^0.5)/(2^0.5)*A*(B^0.5) thus we get 1/(2^0.5) as required by question

    (may june 07)for question 6 u need to have an understanding of the hydrogen bonds hten this is very easy. JUst see which one forms hydrogen bonds. Cl cannot form neither can Co2Ch3 amongst CN and OH we can see that oxygen has more lone pairs than N thus we chose OH
