    Okay, so u say u lost 10 marks from P1 and 1 mark from P3. These 2 papers are weighted the same and carry 75 marks each. To get an A, according to May 2010 gt, u need to secure about 65 of the 75 marks in each. Since an 80% on the ums scale is an A and a 90% is an A*, I'm assuming u need to...

    I don't think it was very difficult, comparatively. Still, had to leave off marks. Hope they go easy on the grade threshold this time though. Btw, did u have many candidates appearing for this paper at ur respective centres? I was stuck all by myself at mine. 3 hrs. is a pretty boring...

    I got A* in physics, A* in chemistry and A in maths. Not bad, considering I was really counting on a B for chem. They must've really lowered those grade thresholds.

    As for the % of students passing, go check out http://www.cie.org.uk/qualifications/ac ... statistics This has all the stats about the CIE results for each yr. including percents achieving A grades, B grades, so on. Hope this helps, and best of luck!

    It's hard, believe me. A lot of what u studied in AS was the stuff u studied in O levels explained over again, so it was kind of like expanding on what u already knew. But A2 is all the new (and hard) stuff. This is especially true if ur taking subs like Chem, Bio or Physics. So be prepared...

    Why not? It'll avg. out (ppr 3 is only 12% weight and ppr 2 23%). Just depends on how much u "screwed up" in those pprs. High grades in 1, 4, 5, will def. bring it up. Remember, ur UMS only has to be an 80 up for an A. ;)

    Nooooo, it NEVER gets that high. The highest for an A was a 66, as far as the last 10 yrs. are concerned. The lowest (I think) was 54. So the gt for A should be sumwhere in btwn.

    I found Chem 42 really, really really hard. Almost came out of the hall in tears. What do u think the gt for an A should be? I'm jst praying its really low this time, like a 55 or sumthing---so getting a B this time

    This paper was relatively easy...although I did leave off about 7 marks. Shouldn't be too bad. I think the gt for this 42 will be higher than b4 though...
