    c 1-0.94= 0.06 in the curve the area in the middle is 0.94, and 0.06 is split equally along the edges on each side ie 0.06/2 so in taking below 32 or above 12, u add one of the sides 0.94+0.03. and then find the z value.

    Add Maths now!

    As N(0) is the original number of fish then N in this case will be equal to N(0)/2 so the eq will be N(0)/2=N(0)e^-k(34) Solving this N(0) on both sides gets cancelled and u r left with 1/2=e^-k(34) Take ln on both sides and u get the answer k=0.0204. Hope this helped.:)
