    I wasn't sure of this one either. I simply showed an ionic type interaction between the Na+ and the delta -ve oxygen and COO- and the delta +ve hydrogen. Although you may be right because the Na+ ions may leave the polymer on adding it to a solution.

    It was NH3 reacting with HCl. So H-Cl bond was broken and the chlorine got that extra electron to form the -ve ion from the hydrogen atom. The H+ then formed the coordinate bond. I guess you didn't read the question properly. That reaction (between NH3 and HCl) was the question's first line.

    Ester is formed when acid reacts with an alcohol. NaOH is a base. The result would be a salt (COO-Na+).

    What was the complex number question? arg(z+2)=135 or arg(z-2)=135 ?? Basically was the equation of the line x+y=2 or x+y=-2 ??

    I think that's wrong. if the line and circle intersect then the minimum distance ( mod(z-u) ) becomes 0. I too did the same thing but then calculated the distance of the point of intersection from the origin.- which is totally wrong. I think the correct ans might be (5)^(1/2) -1. One of my pals...

    What was the value of mod(z-u)?? The minimum distance between the two complex numbers.
