Hello guys, I wanted some techniques to get As in my As level examinations I have got 4 subjects and my dad recently decided to keep me in CIE As and A level board, I have to give my exams in november session. Any tips how can I get As in all the subject??

1- Download the respective syllabi for these subjects, and make sure you download the one's for the year in which you'll be giving the exam. In your case, it's 2015.

2- Get the official books for Physics and Chemistry. They pretty much cover the whole syllabus. If you have any trouble, Google is your best friend.

3- For Maths, I'd recommend getting help. I do believe you can do it on your own, but the jump to A'Level's will feel a bit overwhelming at first. You'll need some time to adjust and therefore, I think it's a good idea to get tuition. But if you're not into that sort of thing, get the official A-Level books plus the AdMaths book from O'Levels. Most of the concepts are covered in hundreds of Youtube videos so you can get by. (Use zalmos.com as a proxy. Pretty lightweight and loads fast).

4- Now, for Physics and Chemistry, make thorough notes as you go through the syllabus. Chemistry is more or less ratta. It has concepts, but nothing too overly difficult. Most of your syllabus will consist of the Inorganic and Organic chapters, and for both of these you need to memorize a shitload of reactions. But that's mostly it. Physics is pretty much the opposite of this. Not a lot of material to learn, but a lot of concept's need to understood.

5- Once you feel you have a good command on the syllabus, start doing the past papers. Ideally you want to the ones from 2005-2015, and if you have the time, 2000-2015, but if you can cover the one's from 2010 to 2015, it should be sufficient enough. Make sure you download the examiner reports and go through them as well. Pretty useful.

6- Now, Physics and Chemistry theory isn't really difficult. If you know the syllabus through and through, and have done even a nominal amount of past papers, you can get by. The MCQ's are the real toughies. They will test your concepts from every conceivable angle and with only 90 seconds/ MCQ, time management also plays a big role. So make sure you do enough practice for these. For Physics MCQ's, physicsref.blogspot.com is a terrific resource.

I would suggest you to take tuitions for your respective subjects. A lot of people have trouble covering the subject on their own through only books and notes because they are sometimes not easy to understand fully, or it could simply be that students procrastinate . When taught by a teacher, students tend to understand better and have to attend classes so procrastination would not affect your studies.
You can get A grades in AS level quite easily if you try to understand the subject rather than doing rote study from the books. You must know the key concepts and must have a good style of writing, not only for English, but for all theoretical papers. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
