Q9: Ke of each sphere before impact is 1/2 mv^2 ... so total Ke is mv^2 ... and in an elastic collision, Ke before collision = Ke after collision !

Q18: Let's take it like this ... Ke at P + Pe at P = Ke at Q + Pe at Q + energy lost due to friction...............................

And assume "x" to be the Pe at P ...
5 + x = Ke at Q + x - 50 + 10
Solve it out and you'll get Ke at Q = 45KJ
