A bit of doubt here about igcse and IB.

Ive given my IGCSE English as a second language examination a while back now and im expecting an A* inshallah. So im probably going to do the IB diploma program which requires you to have to take a first language, which obviously would be english in this for me because it is my strongest language. Im confused as there is two different options in IB one is literature and the other is Language and literature, and im not sure which one to take. Also how much more difficult is IB EFL than IGCSE ESL?
