Okay so in may/June 2010 for the second question you are required to find the value of T and T^2 and the ms only gives values of T^2. I have tried every possible way but don't get the markscheme values for T or T^2. The ms seems off but I know that is pretty unreasonable.

Please refer to the picture I attached of the question or look the paper up thanks :)

if you can see on page 5 it says "the time t for 10 oscillations" so all the "t" values should be divided by 10.
eg, 18.9/10= 1.89
and then for T^2= 1.89^2=3.572
the uncertainty is 0.01 because of "t" dividing by 10. when you divide "t" do divide the uncertainty of it like 0.1/10= 0.01

I got it now.. its lik as in m/j 2008 the value is 580 +/- 20
so the upper value is 580+20= 600
lower value is 580-20= 560
so, log(600/560) = 0.03
the error value is 0.03

log T^2= log(k x r^3)
2 log T= log k + log r^3
2 log T= log k + 3 log r

so gradient is 2
y intercept is log k
