hey guys, here's my question: Is the reaction between alkenes and water (hydration reaction) always reversible???

yes...bcoz we'll get an alcohol after hydration reaction (i.e. addition of water) and hydrolysis of alcohol(i.e. removal of water) will hive back the alkene :)
