i am obtaining B as the answer though.

Hello! i tried the question and the answer is B!
Calculations are as follows:

1/4 x 12000 = 3000

12000+3000 = 15000

1/2 x 15000 = 7500

7500 x 1.60 = 12000

Ans: B.

However, the answer scheme states C as the answer.
That is why i was unsure.

Yups sometimes the answers in the mark scheme are wrong. Don't worry, if we both got B as answer then we must be right
