Nov 2010 paper 43 Q 2 .......Can anyone explain how the ordinary dividiend is 18000 instead of being 21600 in the p/l appropriation a/c???/?

When we calculate average investment in investment appraisal....do we add or subtract scrap value from the cost of investment???
