Can anyone help me with May/June 2011 paper 11, question 11 (b) (iii):
g(x) = x^2+ 4,x >= 0,h(x) = 4x – 25, x >= 0.
Find the value of x for which gh(x) = 85?
Mark scheme:
g(4x−25)=85
(4x−25)^2 +4=85
x = 17/2 , x = 4
Discarding x = 4
I got x=17/2 and x=4 but I don't get why we have to discard x=4?

I have a question here guys. When they say plot xy against x. Does that mean xy is at y axis and x is at x axis? Or otherwise
