find 6.111% ( (22/360)*100) of the curved area ( 2*pi*12*7 ) of the whole cake ( which comes t0 32.25 ) then add that with the area of the sector ( (22/360)*pi*(12)^2 ).. The area comes to 59.9

for the one that has triangles and squares , did you get 3 sides that are equal to each other? and its cuz the square's sides are the same right?

I got that , the triangles were equal to each other.
But for the chocolate cake one.. the curved area was basically a rectangle. One side of it was given, you had to calculate the other by finding the length of the sector.. Thats what I did atleast :s
