Any advice for Urdu and English paper?

I need advice for urdu as well as english paper.i'll be giving these two papers this session

For english paper get the hang of the pattern as most students will find it hard particularly the paper2 of english,you have to do lots of things in a give amount of time.

For Urdu read news papers and pratice past papers !! if your good at urdu you can eaisly get A*

Yeah, in English learn the new paper pattern (particularly paper 2 has been made easier), there's a specimen paper here and on the CIE official website. Also, learn how to write good compositions - there's a good book called 'Cambridge English Revision Guide' (or something similar) which if read thoroughly, may guarantee you an A. Also read articles/books/novels/etc. if you want to enhance your vocabulary. But remember, you should also practice writing good stories, descriptive essays and discursive essays for the composition.

Well its really difficult to get an A* and only one guy from my school was able to score A* !!

Previously I thought it would be easy to get an A/A* but given the marks I'm getting in school (it's usually 70-85) it might be very tough, especially A*.

70-85 is not at all bad dude !! if u're getting tht in school thn u can easily do above 90 in syndicate...just a bit more effort would do

I m also weak in Urdu but I tried very hard and Allahamdulliah got a A grade in my mid term examination !! to improve Urdu try reading newspaper and anything you can find in Urdu !!

Novels of "NASEEM EJAAZI" are a good start if u wanna improve u're urdu !!

@waleed khan: You can also try reading "Ibn-e- Insha". His writing is also very easy to read and understanding plus he write comical stuff so you dont have to struggle to read, you just have to once get started and then you wont be able to leave it

Well I got an A" by doing nothing in Mocks...URDU is all about "correct use of simple words" also the fact that any language is...and for that correct use u have to read alot of stuff plus implement that by solving loads of pastpapers....besides practice makes perfect !!
