I fell in love with poetry last year, and have been writing since. For me, poetry is a relief from the tedious life that a student has nowadays. For me, it is also a great inspiration. The simple fact that people can merely manipulate words to move a persons perception of life, or things associated with it, is astonishing. So, what do u guyz think?

Is there anyone out there in XPF who finds poetry interesting or moving. Tell us about your favorite poems. You can even show us your own poems, that is, if you've written anything... Dazzle us. :D

Exactly,
the most calculated and most strictly observed poetic techniques are in I believe is Lady of Shallot seconded by J.R.R Tolkiens poems. His are very perfect when you see the rhymes and syllables and all.

J.R.R.Tolkien was an excellent poet, but I also recommend Khalil Jibran's poetry especially Pity the nation & Children.
