1) There are many additional topics in Statistics 4040. But it includes All that data collection, graphs and stuff.
2) Depends on you. Might take someone a year to cover. Might take someone two weeks to cover. Depends on your intellectual capabilities and the time you give each day and how much good you are at maths.
3) Since someone, somewhere in the world get's distinction in Stats every year. It is possible, of course.
4) Again, that depends on you. Some people find it boring and hard. Some find it easy, study for a month and give the exam, get A*.
5) I haven't started yet. But i know about that Red Stats book, it's thick. But i don't remember the name.

Kamihus, what are you worried about? o_O
You are brilliant in Maths, Masha ALLAH.
Just buy the book, go through it and practice, practice a lot!
2-3 weeks for preparation + past papers (as many as you can).
Give the papers with full confidence and recheck, Insha ALLAH that distinction will be yours.
P.S. From what I know, it's not hard, and it will be very easy for you to study.

4) Its not a hard subject overall but students loose marks due to silly mistakes. Therefore, practice a lot of past papers and you will be able to avoid them.
5)You can use the Cambridge endorsed book "o level Statistics by Dean James Chalmers". (The rest of the questions were already answered).

Thanks but is it harder than Maths or not, because I know there can be silly mistakes in Maths too and the questions are always similar but some are very difficult. And Nabeel.Ahmad, are you giving Stats this year?

firstly you can only give statistics (4040) in November attempt. It is very easy if you have covered topics in D1 and D2 then you already have a strong base to pursue statistics. There is also no need to study from a specific book if you are taking coaching classes. I teach statistics and in my experience students make a lot of silly mistakes because of lack of practice and some have difficulty in probability. I recommend 4 months of practice to get excellent grades.

I can't get coaching so that's why I have to study from a book. I am strong in D1 and D2 and also probability.

If you live in Karachi and can't get O level Statistics books or if it is too expensive another alternative is Statistics by Abdul Waris it contains solutions of all Past papers so you will have a good idea.
