AS level Urdu...need a little help here!

Is there anyone who has given AS level urdu? I need a bit guidance. I an planning to give urdu only in AS to get an extra A so i can get scholarship for A2. Does that seem to be a good idea? Your help will be appreciated! And yes is the paper easy?
