Hello everyone!
I would like to know how many significant figures OR decimal places we are required to give numerical answers, to the more "general" questions in PAPER 3.
e.g. In may/june 2010, P31
http://www.xtremepapers.net/CIE/International A And AS Level/9702 - Physics/9702_s10_qp_31.pdf
the 1st question asks you to measure the voltage and current. My values were:
V= 4.34V (3 s.f.)
I= 0.00357A (3 s.f.)
Then they ask you to calculate the resistance.
4.34/0.00357= 121.5686275.....
So should i give the answer as: 122 (3 s.f.)
or
121.6 (4 s.f.) (1 d.p.)?
Thank you for your time!
