which elements form basic oxides? Are carbon, sulphur, and bromine one of them?

Oxides:
*Binary compounds of oxygen
*Binary means compounds havin 2 elements, eg. HCl, NH3
*Binary compounds of Oxygen are CO2, SO2 NO2...etc

Types of Oxides
1) Acidic Oxides (usually non metals).
2) Basic Oxides:
Oxides which nutralise acids are called Basic oxides (usually metal oxides are basic oxides)

MgO + H2SO4 -------> MgSO4 + H2O
Na2O + HCl --------> NaCl + H2O
CaO + H2SO4-------> CuSO4 + H2O

as i told u basic oxides are usually metal so , theser will form acidic oxides not basic as these are non metals
