how to find magnification when an image and a scale to that image are given?
like in the question 3 of this paper: http://www.xtremepapers.com/papers/CIE/Cambridge International O Level/Biology (5090)/5090_s11_qp_62.pdf
anyone help please :(
In order to find the magnification when the scale and the image are given, you would measure the diameter of the seed in the image Q:3 of the paper and you would divide it with the given scale. For example the diameter of the seed in this image came out to be 28mm so
28mm/0.05mm= x560

What I did was Fit the document to page and measured its diameter, the marking scheme states that if a student gets 56mm then the scale would also have to be adjusted accordingly so all in all you also try what i did with my zooming settings IF you are solving your paper on the computer :D
