i felt it was really lengthy and the experiment was so difficult am not sure of my answers and the one about the calculation for the thickness ?!

because it is an ionic compound... the ions are present discretely unlike in molecules (where each atom is specifically attatched to another one)
the ionic bond is just the force of attraction between the opposite charges and is non-directional..

umm... try the questions at the back of different books i guess... :)
