5e) Sickle Cell Anaemia can be considered a form of discontinuous variation because the variation falls within definite groups. You either have sickle cell malaria (HsHs) or you do not (HaHa). There is nothing in between and so one cannot draw a continuum (continuous scale) for Sickle cell Anaemia. Also, Sickle Cell Anaemia is affected in no way by the external environment but by inherent genes.
