BIology Paper 34 Tip Off's (100% True)

Ok guys my Biology teachers got to know whats comming as they have to set the stuff for the practicals:

1-Its DEFINITLY Food Tests!..
2- Something about peeling a leaf epidermis and looking under a slide...(Rubab plant leaf or something)
3- Serial Dilution (im not 100% with that)

But enzymes and all are not comming as that came for paper 32.
FOOD TEST IS 100% !!

How do you tabulate a serial dilution experiment ? Can anybody show me please ,

Also, what are the parts of a plant that we may have to label ..?

Hey Talha...Actually bro im not really sure about what type of leaf is comming...my frind told me that the plant comming might be that....but i wouldnt count on it...teacher said a leaf is comming and we have to peel it and put in on the slide.....( Slightly bend the starting of leaf abit and you can slowly peel it)....IM sorry but the exact leaf i cannot say...Some say it is a Mohobi leaf or something like that i dont know if the spelling is correct or even if that is the leaf...i wouldnt count on it

I told serial Dilution im not 100% sure cuz when telling me other teachers were there.....Now that you told me it has come for 33...most probably it wont come ....BUT IM 100% for FOOD TEST ....

Don't take the risk, sometimes serial dilution can come up in 2 different experiments in 1 year

How r we supposed to know in the exam if to do reducing sugar test or non reducing sugar test ??

Also how do you conduct the emulsion test for fats ?? :fool:

It would probably be given in the question.
The test is in ethanol. You add ethanol, if a cloudy solution appears. Hell ya its fat.

Add ethanol and it'll give a clear solution and then add water if solution turns cloudy then the presence of fat is confirmed!!

on adding just ethanol it doesn't turn cloudy....

ALWAYS test for reducing sugar first. If results come out negative, carry out the test for non reducing sugar. Even then if the results are negative, means no sugar was present
For fats test, you add an equal volume of NaOH followed by equal volume of cold water. This will form white colloidal solution (fatty droplets).

Q1...its myt b of microscopy not micrometrey(rhubarb plant) 2 slides preperation...longitudinal sections of plant...then draw plan diagram at 40x


Q2...food tests
4 solutions and protiens, starch, reducing nd non reducing sugars will be tested 4
then draw table 4 observation

q1. TURGIDITY COMPARISION. HUMAN RHUBARB STEM CELL..TWO SLIDES.
q2. food teST ..STARCH PROTEIN REDUCING AND NONREDUCING SUGAR S1:WATER S2: 0.1% STARTCH SOLUTION S3: 2% SUCROSE SOLUTION

BIURET SOLUTION WUD BE GIVEN WITH NO PROTEIN
