1) plz expain me in short about what is independent and dependent variable.....and how to identify it in given experiment

one CIE examiner has written a revision guide that contains specific advice on how to get high marks in both papers5 and paper3 of bio just download this guide from the below link im sure it would help you a lot!!:

independent is the one that u are controlling e.g temp
and depend is the one that changes as a result of independent variable e.g rate of a reaction!

thnx princess zahra evn i had da same concept in ma mind.....
bt den wen i solved da paper for eg: in may-june 2009 Q-2 a(i)
in independent variable i wrote : No of banded /unbanded snails released and in dependent variable i wrote : predation
bt itz wrong......according to mark scheme.... so m getting very confused.....
