Bit of an unusual and complicated problem here.....

OK, let me give you the background to this issue I have here.

I'm going to be starting A2 right now. When I started my A levels, I decided I would be done with Math in one year. So in the November of 2012, I gave AS Mathematics and AS Accounting. Then the following June, I gave A2 Mathematics and AS and A2 Economics.

With me so far? OK, then, I registered myself for A2 Accounting this November through my school. But then I decided to get myself transferred to a better school.

Now, my questions are: can I have the school change my status to a private candidate (they aren't properly answering this question, a bit uncooperative)? If that can't be done, can I still give the accounting exam through my former school without it looking fishy (I doubt it, but thought I'd ask)?

Also, if I do register as a private candidate, which candidate number do I provide when they ask for the previous candidate number? Do I provide the candidate number of last November, because I'm having the grades of that session carried forward or do I provide the candidate number of June, because it is the most recent one?

Kindly advise. I've sent the British Council some emails and will try to call them, but it will be nice to get the perspective of people who've been through something like this or seen someone go through this.

Also, I'm not sure if I'll even be able to get through to the British Council. I've never successfully done that in all my years with CIE.

You provide the Candidate number of the session when you appeared for the particular subject's AS exam.
