For higher net assets, I wrote:
Because their current assets rose, because their fixed assets rose and because either the shareholders funds rose, meaning that more money was invested into the business, or their long term liabilities rose, meaning that they took out another loan in order to finance the purchase of either more fixed assets or to cope with an increase in demand by buying more stock.
As for improved communication, I put that they could shorten the chain of command, as it would reduce the time taken between when the message was sent and when it was received, thus resulting in decisions being made quicker and more effectively
