I encountered the same problem as you did. You could get around this problem... here is the trick!
Click the print button, the file will be processed ... wait (it will take sometime depending on the line's speed) until the doc is re-displayed fully on the screen, in pdf form still (700+ pages). By then, you would see "download" arrow icon, click the button and the pdf copy will be saved at your local drive.
