can anyone tell me how the grading system work
and what the percentage i have to get in order to get A* or A or B etc..
plz help

its basically based on grade thresholds which are decided once all the papers have been marked.
the thresholds differ for all subjects.
however the uniform mark for a* is 90 and it decreases by 10 as u go down.

In Alevel sciences with 80-85 percent marks you can get A*. But it varies with different papers and sessions.

They make a grade threshold every paper and their variants. e.g lets say 35 marks out of 40 for A grade in P12 Biology. Grade thresholds are available online.
It also contains a table of total marks and the grades.

Basically at 90 percentile it is A* so if the paper was easy and many people scored high the percentage for A grade goes up. or something like that.

for most papers on this site they have the grading thresholds file (.gt), u can refer to it for exact details for each paper as they are different, correctly mentioned by someone above

- 80% for A
- 70% for B
- 60% for C.........
