the answer should be C. The first payment (4000) is paid for period 1 april 2009 to 31st march 2010. But the accounting period starts from 31 december. So (4000/12) * 3 ( for jan 2010, feb 2010, march 2010)= 1000
now add the remaining 9 months by dividing (4800/12 )*9= 3600
total for 12 months = 3600 + 1000= 4600
