Can cie themselves correct out grade on the result certificate?

Hello,
I wanted to ask that can cie itself change our grade in a particular subject? I feel that I am wrongly treated in english. In my school I have always got atleast A grade in english but in cie I have been given a C grade. I have heard that if CIE make mistakes, they them self correct it. And also my english paper in this june went very well. I atleast expected an A grade. Is there any chance that cie will change my english grade on my result certificate? And in my rest of the 7 subjects I have scored A*s

You should contact your centre about sending your paper for re-checking.

If I send my paper for rechecking, then my grade will be increased maximum to B. Well I think there is a big mistake. They might have mixed my paper with anyone else. Is there any chance that cie will itself increase my grade?

If by 'themselves' you mean to say that you will not do anything to contact them, then I think no. The likelihood of mixing papers is very little. Going for re-checking is sort of a gamble but if you are confident that you did well who knows you might get an a!?
Either way, you should consult with your teacher and centre about what to do. If all else fails, you could always re sit the paper this november.

actually it can only happen if there is a typo error so you just think it impossible that it will change!! it can be but less likely!! one thing to clear is that they mean by provisional results is that it would be the same but they will never know if one can send a recheck application thats why they first give results and then certificates to sort things out!!
