17.c. Lowest point in Europe = -28
Lowest point in Asia = -409
(-28) - (-409) = 391
Lowest point in Asia = -409
(-28) - (-409) = 391

i understood this very well. Thanks4b. -6 <= x < 6
Separate the inequality into 2 parts and then solve:
-6 <= 3x
-2 <= x
3x < 6
x < 2
So now join them together to get: -2 <= x < 2, so x has to be one of the following: -2, -1, -, 1.
Dude It's 38117.c. Lowest point in Europe = -28
Lowest point in Asia = -409
(-28) - (-409) = 391
thanks for all the explanation but i want to ask how in question 8) is K = 8? im a bit confused about that4b) to satisfy the inequality
-6 </3x < 6
-6-5-4-3-2-1 0 </ 3x < 1+2+3+4+5+6
so, to to satisfy the inequality which is less than 6 and more than -6
-3 ,- 2, -1, 0 ,-1
5b) |d| means we have to find the magnitude
The formula for Magnitude is m=/x^2+y^2
Subsitude the values and you'll get the answer, i.e 10
7b) Ratio for boys and girls are 3:4
120 more girls, so total ratio is 7
to find the total students, 120x7=840 Ans.
8) Y is directly proportional to the 'X'^2
so it's given that y=2 when x =4, we have to find y when =10.
The Formula for Directly proportional is, Y=K^2
First to find 'K' that will be 0.125, now substitute K in the formula, to find y when x=10
that will be, y=12.5
9) Check the diagram the shaded region, in which 1 inequality is given y >/ 3x -2
now check the shaded region, where y=3 so, the 1st inequality is Y=</3
For other we will use the straight line formula y=mx+c
Get the coordinates (0,0) and the other see the line from Y axis intersecting the x axis the coordinates are (-2,4)
Find the gradient, i.e -2, so the second inequality is y >/-2x
10) Use the formula (v1/v2)=(h1/h2)^3
Consider Cylinder A as v1 and B as v2, same goes for height h1 = A and h2=B
We have to find the height , Volumes is already given 8:27 xross mulitply and you'll get the height that will be 18cm
Sorry, It was wrongthanks for all the explanation but i want to ask how in question 8) is K = 8? im a bit confused about that
What do you mean wrong?Sorry, It was wrong
Dude It's 381
-28+409= 381
oh i get this, its the same thing i learned in higher here, you added 100+20 since it says he got paid 20% more right?23.a.ii. He's paid $16 per hour. He's paid 20% more during each hour in the weekend. 120% of 16 = $19.2 per hour (16 X 1.2). He worked 4 hours in the weekend, so multiply the pay per hour by 4 hours (19.2 X 4) to get $76.8. Hope that helps a bit at least
I did that wrong .What do you mean wrong?
Could you correct it and explain pleaseI did that wrong .
Just correct it
guys in question 8, how is K (constant) 8? and isnt the formula : y=kx^2?
Could you correct it and explain please
Check aalmuhannadi post he got that rightCould you correct it and explain please
Could you correct it and explain please
Alright i got this thanks so it says find y when x is 10, so we will do :y = kx^2
2 = k4^2
2 = 16k
k = 2/16 = 0.125
yeah you always make the left hand side value as the numerator, thats how i remeberd.What I did was I took 16 as numerator, that's why it was coming 8
