Copper sulphate reacting with zinc.

I wrote that solid decreases in size and fizzing. Is it correct?

They saying fizzing is wrong.

Look at this:

If this is right from answers.com, then fizzing is correct.

Both are wrong for 100%

Solid decreases in size is 100% corrected, Just checked. but fizzing is wrong. Please don't post if your not 100% sure..

1) Solution turns from blue to colourless
2) A brown metal/solid (copper) is formed

haha damn , i wrote that copper formes and settles , but then i crossed it out for fizzing. :p

Hey Aahmsil no need to write the colour change of the solution
You just need to know that there is in the colour of the solution
But for brown solid you need to mention as it is given in the syllabus

The only correct answer is Aahmsil answer and thats for sure

dat was easy ... use the stand to hold the beaker in position above the fuel ... use same volume of water and mass of fuel... ignite the fuel ..... measure the time for the water to reach a specified temperature... repeat experiment with bioethanol (watever it was) the fuel which required less time produces more energy


Qs. 1 wat was it .. a measuring cylinder or burette???
damn for the CuSO4 qs. i wrote metal (copper) is deposited .... is it correct?
