The question states that NH3 and CO2 react and form a compound Y. The mark scheme suggests that the answer is NH2COONH4 . I don't get how this reaction leads to this compound being formed.Help anyone?

You have to look at the question in terms of the number of atoms of Hydrogen. 2 volumes of ammonia mean 6 atoms of Hydrogen which is only seen in option B.
