AsSalamoAlaikum Wr Wb..

You SHOULD study the AS part.

The 2009 examiner report for paper 4 says:
Teachers and candidates are reminded that this paper is set on the whole A level syllabus – not just those learning outcomes printed in bold type in the syllabus document. Although most marks will be allocated to the “non-AS” sections, this does not mean that all marks will be so allocated.

nitrogen and sulphur and there are questions from group 7 and orgaic part. How do you study for chemistry applications cuz i find them realy hard :(
Chemistry overall is very hard, you need to have very strong concepts, if you take bio then biochem shan`t be much of a problem

Study all the organic portion, that's all. Organic chemistry is specially tough because they mix both AS and A2. Equilibria- not so much. Its all in the A2 portion. If they were to give only questions from A2 levels, there is not much in organic chemistry. The most important ones are reduction, oxidation and halides things, you can't expect them to just sack AS portion. Plus, revising AS level is a great way to revise what you studied in A2 level.

well my chem teacher says that about 30-40% of p4 is based on the AS syllabus, so yes, i guess we'll need to go through AS at least once again
