@Talha : you should use Prescott or Richard Harwood, (Bryan earl is also a good book but its not according to our syllabus).

for O level chemistry the federal book is very good. Try getting your concepts clear from any book you think can understand well, Chemistry is all about concepts. Get them cleared and then solve the topical. Jump to unsolved papers at the last month or two.

Federal one is awesome - if you really want another, try the cambridge endorsed textbook for IGCSE, that one is pretty helpful too!

Trust me ; you will not need another book other than Federal. Just drink that book, it has almost every concept the examiner looks for.

Well to get the best result it works out like this:

1- Read federal
2- Do topicals as u get a topic done from federal
3- Do yearly past papers 2002 and onwards with mark schemes, examiner reports.
4- Still feel like u have time ? Get the chemistry igcse book by christopher harwood.
5- Read it for fun.

The final grade depends on how much past paper practise u have rather than how many books u have read.

@Ghazna: Book hai milk shake nae jo drink it !

Chemistry Insights by J.R Briggs and Dr. Rex.
It a good book. A bit expensive but totally worth it.

Every book is an individual, some people might get comfortable with a book, and some might not.
But to be honest, Federal for chemistry, biology and physics is the Best book for O'levels. It covers every detail required for the syllabus.

Prescott is good. Other than that try finding some compiled notes of a famous teacher.

Do past papers regularly.

Distinction distinction all the way. . .
