guyz, can anyone explain to me why the answer for Q3(b)(ii) is hydrogen and not oxygen ?

its hydrogen, because the electrons released by iron are attracted towards the H+ ions in the water forming Hydrogen gas.

Metal + Water ---> Metal Hydroxide + Hydrogen
