Chemistry MCQ...CHIRAL CENTRE ??

chiral centres are da onex 2 which 4 diff groups r attached
1st condition is single bonds on all 4 sides
2nd is da presence of 4 diff groups
sometimes in benxene ring dere's a confusion since no hydrogen atom is shown while dere r present..
but i ve atached da solution 4gt 2 mark da ans:oops: ... dey r B rite?! :)

chiral centre is a carbon atom with 4 different atoms attached to it.
any carbon with double bond cannot be a chiral centre.
so look at the que very well and count the no of C with 4 different things attached to it.

ok for the 19th question 1 chirall centre is with a H group,oh group,ch group and a CH2 group

wt abt the 2nd chiral carbon atom ? :s

1 C is attached 2 OH CH2OH H n da whole benzene thing
2 C is attached 2 h, CH OH CH2OH n consder a break at benxene ring at any point into 2 chains n dey ll b ur 2 diff groups u get wat i am saying?
