J reacts with NaOH(aq) to produce an organic ion with a charge of –1.
so it indicattes tht there is one acid
An organic compound J reacts with sodium to produce an organic ion with a charge of –3.

no 21
-oh reacts with na but not naoh to form o-
-cooh reacts with both na and naoh to form co0-

so the answer must be C ( 2 -0h and 1 -cooh )

no 22

process occuring is esterification ( where and -0h group and -c00h groups react to form c02c bond)
break the c-o bond (single bond ) and add an h atom to the each of the four resulting -0 and -c0 and u`ll end end with 2 identical molecules ( HOCH2COOH)

actually its exactly one acid and 2 alcohol

if there were 3 acid , the molecule would produce an anion with –3 in both cases
