what would be a good answer to Q1 d(ii)? what do they mean by how i could measure the independent variable?

Help would be appreciated...

independent variable is the one that u change
Dependent variable is the one that changes because u have changed something

yes...i know that... but what im trying to ask is that do i have to give the full description for point (ii) or do i just state that i dilute the HCl with distilled water to obtain a range of different concentrations of HCl... & then leave all the describing for part (iii)?? whats the way i describe the whole experiment? like in composition form.....or separated out into points similar to the question...?
