10 g of magnesium is added to 1 dm3 of 1 mol dm-3copper(II) sulfate solution andthe mixture is stirred until no further reaction occurs..Which of the following is a result of this reaction?
A The resulting solution is colourless.
B 10 g of copper is displaced
C 63.5 g of copper is displaced.
D All the magnesium reacts.

I did moles=mass/mr
10/24.3= 0.412, then didn't know what to do next,

See there mate
First of all, form the equation
Mg + CuSO4 ---> MgSO4 + Cu

Moles of Mg used = 10/24.3 = 0.41 moles
From the equation, 1 mole of Mg forms 1 mole of Cu
So moles of Cu formed= 0.41 moles
Mass of Cu = 0.41 x 63.5 = 26.035 g

Moles of CuSO4 in sol. = 1 x 1 = 1 mole

So options B, and C are wrong.
A says that the resulting sol. is colourless but it ain't. It's white.
So the answer is D and it is also proved by the equation. Mg has 0.41 moles while CuSO4 has 1 so Mg reacts fully
