Assalamoalaikum!!!

plz help me with this question..
Phosphorus exists as P4 and sulfur as S8. Explain the difference in the m.p of these substances..

just want to confirm..i think Sulfur has higher m.p as it has greater molecular size...thus strength of van der waal forces increases...and so is more in sulfur than phosphorus!! is this correct explanation for it??
