It's this essay thing offered by AQA and Edexcel where you do a research on whatever you want you can check http://www.edexcel.com/quals/project/Pages/default.aspx for more information you can do it at AS level if you want or A2 but it is only for a year and you could get an A*. Sorry I can't provide any more details because my school doesn't offer it but it sounds really interesting as you can choose whatever topic you wish and you can research it. You can check the site for examples of other people's work and check http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=602573 for discussions. Though it is pretty time consuming since you have to write between 5000-6000 words (Edexcel, 5000 for AQA) and you have to provide a lot of information about how long it took you to complete each stage and the research material plus a bibliography.

chem v2 wasnt tough but it wasnt very very easy as well
however it was loads better than phys nd bio p3s
ull find it easy if u studied very well!!
