cie has decided to add two new optional subjects in the olevel cirriculum,namely
Symbolism and Poltical affaris.the papers are to coomence from may/june 2013.
For the first two years ie till 2015,these subjects willl be taken as compulsary subjects for non-foreign students.

and besides, there NO such subject which is Compulsory in CIE, It just depends on the future requirements in a particular place/country etc which render a subject necessary and still not compulsory
