Commerce 7100

Hey, can anyone tell me about the level of marking in commerce 7100 paper 2. Secondly, what is the recommended length for the answers, and lastly, where does the focus of the answers lie, is it just reasoning and analysis or something else?

Kindly elaborate the first part of your question: "tell me about the level of marking in commerce 7100 paper 2"

* There is no as such length fixed for any answer. Just make sure that your answer is complete, perfect & covering all points asked. Do not go for the length. I used to write half page on 4 marks and a full on 6 marks question. it depends on you if you can cover all points comprehensively in half or full page. it is all about quality not quantity.

*First you have to give the reasoning e.g. "specialization is always beneficial , do you agree?" (6)
so you must start with giving the advantages in one paragraph, maybe 4-5 reasons with some explanation and then its disadvantages in other paragraph
and then in last paragraph you have to produce an analysis and agree or disagree with a brief reason for your choice.

By the level of marking I mean that I have read some marking schemes and in them marks to some 4,5 and 6 marks' questions were given according to the level of response,i-e, level 1,level 2 etc just like in pakstudies paper 1. So I was hoping that some one could explain these levels of marking in commerce to me.

Yeah, well you must only concerned with the maximum level and to attain it in level of response questions you have to
*give brief reasoning for agreeing/choosing one thing in 1 paragraph
*give brief reasoning for disagreeing/ not choosing other thing in 1 paragraph
*producing an evaluation at the end with a quick reason for your choice

i.e. if a question asks that should a retailer but through wholesaler or manufacturer
then you have to give reasons for why to buy from wholesaler
and then why to buy from retailer
and then a judgment that which one you choose and why

no .. in Level of Response of 6 marks you have to give both perspectives otherwise you could only gain L2 mark
to gain L3 .. both perspectives + evaluation
