I am appearing for computer studies in 2014. I don't know how to prepare for this subject. If anyone knows any good teacher who gives tuition or the students who have appeared in this exam. Kindly help me. It would be a huge favor.

Computer studies right ? Not computer science ? I'm doing Computer studies and honestly speaking, this is the easiest subject that I've come across. To do well, make thorough notes from VARIOUS computer books according to the syllabus requirements. Try to do as many past papers you can get your hands on. Read the marking schemes and examiner reports. And just don't rattify everything. Open your mind and try to understand. The concepts will embrace you automatically.

If you are in Karachi then the best teacher you can find is Sir Zafar Ali Khan. He literally made things like pseudocodes, logic gates and flowcharts water for me. He also issues ATC guess paper that for me proved almost 100% correct. I scored an A* in Computer Studies in June 2013.

Buy the IGCSE Computer Studies book and go through it thoroughly twice. Learn all the definitions/terms by heart. Develop clear concepts about every topic mentioned in the syllabus. Practice past papers, paying special attention to algorithms and system flowcharts. All in all, just go through the book thoroughly and practice (algorithms need the most practice). Good luck!
