Yea distinctions help u differentiate urself from other applicants.
Scholarship depends, if it's a merit scholarship chances are you'll get it if your result in other subjects is good as well. In the US if u get admission then chances are u'll get financial aid because of the high tuition costs in the US. But how much really, not sure. US is in recession.
