Do people look down on people who take retakes ?

If you can do better, take the chance. Don't wait to get old and regret the life you could've built yourself. Just a matter of few months anyway.

I know 3 people who retook their exams. They ranked among the first 3 of the country.

And when you are to give yourself a second chance, you don't trouble your mind with what others might think. They do not live your life.

Some people do, some people don't.
I don't think it matters whether people look down on re-sitters or not. You aren't doing it for them. As long as you're happy and know you're gonna try much harder than the last time, it's all good. I resat some exams too, most of the students in my class did. It's nothing to be ashamed of, as long as you learn your lesson and don't make the same mistake!
Personally, I don't see why anyone would look down on someone for retaking. Everyone makes mistakes.

I think if you can get a better score then do it...It's worth of it.. Do not care what other people think about us.. If you wanna do it, just do it.. but if you prefer not to do it, just continue..Either way, you can still go further!
