yup, it is.... but what can u do if u're school doesn't offer u core.... sometimes, even if we ask the teachers, they do not meet our demands..

Thank you for your email dated 19 July.
Ultimately it is the school's decision what they choose to enter candidates for, particularly if the candidate is a full time student at the school. Their decision will be made based on the candidate's performance in class and any tests set. The school, however, may have slightly more flexibility if it is a private candidate.
Please speak to the examinations officer at your school for further advice on entries.
