Does the reputation of school matter in contributing towards CIE A level results ?

No. CIE is not biased.
The grading and marking system is completely fair.
In fact, the examiners dont even know the Candidate Name/Number/ Center Number so it is not possible for them to be biased. The marks and grades are awarded based on the effort of the candidates themselves.

No. Any academic institution for higher education will not admit candidates for a particular degree course becuase they are from a well known school. Admissions are only granted based on academic (and extra-curricular) record as well as based on the Personal Statement/Interview/Entrance Examinations etc.
