can anybody explain me SINO-ATRIAL node------AV node-----bundle of his---purkynje fibres.........things r gettin real difficult

SAN is found a little above the atrium ... during atrial contraction, SAN sends a wave of electrical impulse over the atrial tissue resulting in the contraction of atrial chambers ... blood flows into the ventricles ... ventricles fill up ... after a delay of 0.15s the waves of excitation are picked up by the AVN (atrio-ventricular node) and travel down the apex of heart via the purkyne tissue ... ventricular systole occurs and the ventricle walls contract from bottom upwards so that blood is expelled out of the heart into the respective arteries...

try to understand the ECG in terms of systole and diastole...that will help you a lot during exams ...

ahan that's great :)

btw if you see a few slides related to systole and diastole or the cardiac cycle on youtube, I'm sure that would be of immense help ...
